Duties: |
•Meet customer project specifications using SolidWorks
•This candidate will be required to become the technical liaison between the product engineers and the suppliers ensuring capabilities and cost target are realized
•The candidate should be experienced with manufacturing processes for steel fabrications and castings
•The candidate will be expected to participate in collaborative Design for Manufacturing (DFM) engagements
•Will participate in pilot build of the new machines, directing the engineers performing the development activities on cost effective approaches that complements the suppliers capabilities
•Communicate in person, by phone, by email and other electronic means with engineering, technical and manufacturing personnel on technical product specifications and updates
•Ensure all project information and data is organized in order to make certain the project is on-track, on-budget and on-time

Qualifications: |
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field
•3+ years of experience providing engineering solutions on large, complex projects in any of the following areas: underground mining and drilling equipment.
•Project Management Experience
•Quality Assurance experience of deliverables
•Cost Estimating background
•DFMA
•Manufacturing
•Experience with large structures highly desired
•Experience with mechanical systems highly desired
•Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to converse on technical matters where there are differences of opinion in calm and collaborative way while being clear and concise
•Excellent work ethic
